final project- Winter Warmth

My project is about the warmth winter can bring. I wanted my series to express a different side of winter; the warmer side. I did this by using sunlight. The sunlight gave me great shadows as well. The shadows are strong because of the setting sunlight. The shadows give the photos different values. I think all of my photos have good composition because they follow the rule of thirds. There is also good lighting and all the photos feel balanced. I like how the photos feel simple compositionally. These photos are digital and I worked with them on Photoshop. I played with the color balance. The series has good values and contrast as well. I feel that these photos have a color scheme that expresses my theme well. The colors pull my series together. I chose to use plain and simple matting because I think anything else would take away from the photos themselves. I wanted everything to look professional. I enjoyed photographing with sunlight because of the warm feeling it gives to my photos. I feel I have a strong series overall.
